- More momentum than we’ve had in years
The needle moved and we moved it.
🎵 Top Song: Reviving The Grant Program
This was our headline track of 2025.
- Relaunched the Web Monetization Grant Program
- Brought in three publishing platforms that will bring new tools and experiments to their 900+ podcasts, 500,000+ writers, and 200,000 social web users in 2026.
- Strengthened the ecosystem with real, tangible support. $100,000 in financial support , to be exact.
This wasn’t just an initiative, it was a comeback tour.
🎥 Your Artist Clip: We Refreshed Our Web Presence
As a thank-you, your Web Monetization browsing experience got a glow up.
- Completely redesigned webmonetization.org
- Modernized the visual identity and restructured the content to make it more accessible, informative, and action-oriented
- Updated and expanded the documentation
- Made information easier to find, clearer to understand, and simpler to act on

💿 Top Albums: We Leveled Up Our Product Offerings
Because a standard only moves if we do.
- Expanded extension availability to Safari
- Improved the user experience for the Publisher Tools
- Shipped new Publisher Tools
- Shipped fixes and docs that unblock users
- Launched a WordPress Plugin
- Resolved bugs and improved overall extension performance
- Developed a prototype for the in-browser implementation.
⏱️ Minutes Listened: We Strengthened Community Connections
Not just building tech, building a movement.
- Brought more publishers, partners, and developers into the conversation
- Received impactful code contributions from community developers who stepped up for Hacktoberfest.
- Supported community events and working groups
- Listened, iterated, and responded to ecosystem needs and community feedback.
